Life in the times of COVID has been so unbelievably difficult for me.
As the queen of positivity, even I have been struggling to keep my sanity amongst quarantine, mask regulations, social distancing, the political climate, etc. On the bright side, though, it has taught me so much about cultivating my own positivity and living present in the moment. Being forced to work on my own mental health with no external stimulation has taught me to be more grateful, to manifest happiness and love, and to always take care of myself (more on this soon).
I’ve been diligently working on my morning routine, which has been an immense help to my mental health during these last few months. As a part of a very thought-out routine, I have incorporated journaling. It’s a practice that lets me express my feelings without judgement and truly taps into untangling emotions to help me process the world around me. These prompts particularly help me start the day off on the right foot. They force me to think about the ways that I am so blessed to get to live another day where I have control over myself.
