For a clean feel:
Origin Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash is my HOLY GRAIL face cleanser. I’ve been using this for years and even though it is $25, it lasts for MONTHS because you need less than a dime-sized amount. Some highlights include the minty smell and feeling, it’s foaming texture, and its efficiency. 10/10
I have a confession. Up until a few months ago, I was still using the St. Ives Apricot scrub. I KNOW, I KNOW! It’s not only terrible for your skin but, it’s horrible for the planet. So, I did some research and found the Fresh Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash. It smells pretty yummy and so far, it’s been good so giving me an extra oomph in my face wash routine. I use this one after I steam my face with a steamer I got from Amazon to really make it worthwhile.
UPDATE AUGUST 2020: This smells great but, it’s not for me. It doesn’t do much scrubbing or cleansing so really, it’s just a good smelling nice-to-have. I won’t be repurchasing.
For soft, hydrated skin:
Belif True Cream Aqua Bomb has been my tried and true moisturizer for years! It’s light weight and you only need a small dab but, it’s so hydrating. I use it on my entire face and neck for glowy, plumpy skin.
For protection:
In light of my 27th birthday, I am now obsessed with preventing fine lines and wrinkles. This has led me straight down the path to sunscreen!!! The Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen is quickly becoming a favorite and I have to say, the hype is real. It’s light weight and completely clear, which means it’s also a perfect make up primer. It’s also easily spreadable so while it is a little pricey, it lasts a long time. Worth it!
Last but not least, the Ordinary Retinol face oil. I’ve been using this one for months and since I don’t have too many fine lines, I can’t say for sure that this is a magical product. However, I’ve done research on retinol and retinoid and decided to start using them as preventative measures. So far, I have not seen a decrease in the brightness, hydrated, and smoothness of my face so, I’m going to keep testing this one out.
